The Campus Lab School will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC, PDE, and the guidelines set by Carlow University.
In Tiernan Hall (Kindergarten - 8th Grade), masking will be optional, unless Allegheny County moves to a high level of community spread. Then, masking will be mandatory for everyone in the building. CLS recommends masking when there is a medium level of community spread.
In Trinity Hall (Montessori and Reggio), masking is mandatory for all students, teachers, and visitors when Allegheny County is in medium or high level of community spread. When community spread is low, masking is optional.
CLS encourages families to keep students home when they are sick. If students develop any symptoms of COVID-19 while at school, they will be sent home and will need a negative covid test (antigen or PCR) or a note from their doctor clearing them to return to school.

Classroom Spaces
We will continue to disinfect regularly and increased ventilation will be maintained. Windows WILL be open so children should be prepared with layers (sweaters and sweatshirts) as the weather turns cool. As a reminder, we have HEPA air purifiers in every classroom. Hand sanitizer will be available in all spaces and students will be reminded and encouraged to wash and/or sanitize their hands frequently.
